OFFICE INFORMATION
This Florida lawyer has written
legal forms, books & articles for West, ALI-ABA & Fla. Bar Journal and is rated
AV by Martindale-Hubbell. James W. Martin consults from his Saint Petersburg,
Tampa Bay, Florida, law office on contract, business, corporate, probate, wills,
trusts, real estate and lawsuit matters.
KEEP CLIENTS INFORMED
Mr. Martin and his associate attorney Ms. Smith, using state-of-the-art
technology, stay in constant communication with clients and keep them
informed by quickly sending them copies of correspondence and other documents.
CONFIDENTIALITY
The relationship between a lawyer and his or her clients is founded on trust and
confidence. So sacred is this relationship that information given by the client
to the lawyer or staff is a "privileged communication" which is recognized by
the courts as confidential so that it cannot be disclosed without the client's
consent. Even the names of clients can be confidential. Thus, we are careful not to discuss clients and their matters in
the presence of others.
NEW CLIENTS
Mr. Martin welcomes new clients referred by existing clients and other
professionals. If he is not able to handle the work, he is often able to bring
in another lawyer who can help. Much of Mr. Martin's work comes through referrals from existing clients and other lawyers, including both out-of-state
law firms and local firms having client conflicts. |

RESPONSIVENESS
Mr. Martin and Ms. Smith perform legal services in a timely and responsive manner. They try to be available for every phone call. When they are not available, they return clients' phone calls as soon as possible.
FEES AND COSTS
Mr. Martin and Ms. Smith perform legal services for fees which are reasonable for the work
performed and are based on hourly rates. Clients are
also responsible for costs (postage, long distance, copies, recording,
courier, etc.). The attorneys discuss fees in the initial conference. It is office policy to
accept a fee retainer when beginning work. The retainer is applied to
statements sent on the first and fifteenth of the month. As the retainer is
used, the client will be asked to replenish it. Payment is due upon
receipt of each statement. If another payment method is needed, please discuss
this at the initial conference. Mr. Martin and Ms. Smith will answer questions about billing
at any time. Please call as soon as you receive a statement if there is any
question about it.
OFFICE HOURS
Office hours are from 9 A.M. to 5 P.M. Eastern Time Monday through Friday,
except lunch hours and holidays. After hours you may leave a message on voice
mail. |
