.A question often asked is how can I find a will for someone who died in Florida or how can I find out if there is a probate in Florida. The answer is that a will must be filed with the Clerk of Court of the county in Florida where the person resided. When the court admits the will to probate, it is recorded in the Official Records of that county. So, we search both the court records and the Official Records in the Florida county where the deceased person resided. Here is a list of Florida counties and links to their court search pages and Official Records search pages.
Note: If a county does not have its own search page, it might be found on the Statewide Official Records Search Page.
